Import Customer Service General Application

CaroTrans is neutral ocean freight consolidator, working in a wholesale market, providing clients with ocean export and import LCL and FCL services. The company is 40+ years old, originally from North Carolina, now with 14 offices, 24 container freight stations and 350 people in USA.

Responsibilities

•cover all aspects of ocean import process: from pricing to receiving containers with consolidated cargo to settling files with overseas agents
•providing rate quotes to customers and overseas agents;
•issuing arrival notices on time;
•accurate and complete billing;
•arranging of shipment releases, door deliveries, customs clearances;
•prompt resolving of issues;
•handling debits/credits with overseas agents

•ability to keep their cool in difficult situations
•good at fact gathering and suggesting a solution
