LCL Export Client Advisory 26-012 Hazardous Minimum Increase / Lithium-ion Batteries Correction & Clarification

The original July 31, 2026 announcement inadvertently omitted hazardous lithium-ion battery shipments from the scope of the hazardous minimum increase. We apologize for the omission in our original communication and for any confusion this may have caused. This update clarifies that the increase applies to both hazardous lithium-ion battery shipments and lithium-ion battery shipments moving under Special Provision 188 (SP188). Changes have been marked in red below.

Citing underlying carrier increases, CaroTrans will raise its hazardous minimum by a factor of $150 to all destinations, except those in the Middle East, for lithium-ion batteries being exported as hazardous and/or non-hazardous under Special Provision 188. Complete documentation including the IMO, SDS and Battery Test Report (where applicable) are required at the time of booking. The old and new values have been outlined below.
