Client Advisory 26-002 Middle East Operational Disruptions

March 4, 2026

As the situation in the Middle East continues to evolve, operational conditions across affected trade lanes remain highly fluid. In alignment with our prior updates, CaroTrans and our regional partner, CSS, are actively monitoring developments and working to provide reliable alternatives where possible.

Below is the latest operational guidance based on information available today.

Destination Operations:
Transshipment Cargo Already at CSS Facilities in Jebel Ali
•    CSS is currently compiling full details on all transshipment cargo in their facility. They will be reaching out to CaroTrans directly once cargo specific information is confirmed.

•    They are also evaluating several contingency solutions and will share updates as soon as options are finalized.

•    Please note that storage charges will apply for any shipment remaining in CSS’ warehouse over 21 days.

Consolidated Cargo In Transit to CSS Facilities in Jebel Ali
•    CaroTrans and CSS will continue to monitor USA export containers destined for the region closely. Due to ongoing disruptions, carriers are re routing containers at short notice, and up to date visibility is essential to plan contingencies effectively. CSS is working on several solutions to support these changes.

•    Any surcharges levied by underlying carriers for cargo still in transit will be passed through - without markup - as a War Risk Surcharge and will be clearly annotated as such on any resulting documentation.

Origin Operations:
Consolidated Cargo That Did Not Sail
•    Consolidations currently in-gated at USA ports, but not yet sailed, are being returned to our CFS facilities to be fully unloaded due to routing disruptions.

•    Once these shipments become physically available at the CFS, the tendering party may elect to pick up their cargo within the allotted free time to avoid the application of storage charges. This also applies to cargo that has been tendered but has not yet been consolidated.

•    Please be aware that normal storage practices will apply and any coordinated pick-ups would be subject to in/out fees.

•    CaroTrans will communicate availability details as soon as each affected shipment is processed.

New Exports to the Middle East
•    At this time, carriers have suspended service to the Middle East and, as a result, our consolidation service to the region follow suit.

•    We will continue accepting bookings to the Middle East. Freight may be held at our CFS locations until further notice. Please be aware that normal storage practices will apply while cargo is on hold. These guidelines may be revised if conditions in the region change or if CFS capacity becomes constrained.

•    We appreciate your continued cooperation as we work together through these regional challenges. CaroTrans remains committed to ensuring clear communication and doing everything possible to minimize disruption for our partners and customers.
