Dear Valued Customer,
In keeping with the changes of the Steamship Line Rail Billing Requirements
for 2006, please be advised that CaroTrans International Chicago
will be moving up all cut-offs for hazardous LCL shipments.
Any hazardous booking with a sailing
date after January 9, 2006, will receive a hazardous cut-off of 4:00 pm,
one day prior to Carotrans' scheduled cut-off. No hazardous shipments
booked the day of cut-off date will load.
As a reminder, for LCL Bookings, in order for us to load your hazardous,
we will require completion of the following:

Submission to Customer Service: |

A completed Hazardous Declaration |

|
Your shipper's Letter of Instruction (SLI) , Master, or Commercial
Invoice that contains the hazardous information reflected on the Declaration
Receipt of Cargo |

Cargo with marks and required labels that accurately
correspond with the Hazardous Declaration |
 |
|
All documents and cargo must be in our possession by
4:00 pm one day prior to scheduled cut-off |

|
Changes to Haz - Customer Service must receive prior
to loading at origin: |

Any revisions or amendments to the originally presented Hazardous
Declaration |
| |
|
 |
|
Any change to information specific to Hazardous information on the
Master (SLI) |

You will receive confirmation of receipt and verification of changes made,
including an updated booking confirmation. Without such written notification
and revised confirmation, we will consider your initial filing to be valid
and binding.
Revisions to Masters not related to Hazardous should be sent directly to
our documentation team.
Any penalties levied on mis-declared or undeclared
hazardous cargo will be assessed to the account of the shipper.
Your understanding and cooperation is greatly appreciated. We are constantly
reviewing our internal processes and will continue to make changes in the
near future that will expedite and streamline the procedures and communication.
